SPANISH PUEBLO DOORS has a proud history as Santa Fe's premier
door shop, hand crafting distinctive custom doors in Santa Fe, New Mexico
since 1952, when the founder of the company, renowned photographer Ernest
Knee, opened his workshop near the Santa Fe Plaza. Over the course of
fve decades, we have earned an unrivaled reputation for our fnely crafted,
Northern New Mexico designs, our classic Spanish Pueblo patterns and
traditional rustic styles. We take great pride in the history and tradition
of our company, and the skill and dedication of our craftsmen, who work
the wood to craft each door, one at a time. In an age when many of the
products in our everyday lives are mass produced or imported from overseas,
each Spanish Pueblo Door is still individually designed and hand made
in Santa Fe by skilled woodworkers using time honored techniques, and
only select materials. A wide variety of distinctive hand tooled textures,
and hand rubbed fnishes evoke the "Rustic Elegance" of antiques
with the structural integrity of new doors. Distinctive design, attentive
craftsmanship, and justifable pride in our quality and service combine
to offer an extraordinary line of custom made doors to complement your
home or business.
We believe that hand made doors are not only essential design
elements of a distinctive home, but also a place where the fne craft
of door making becomes functional in our lives. Our goal is simply to
bring the beauty and individual character of hand made doors into everyday
living, to enhance the experience of moving through your living spaces.
At Spanish Pueblo Doors we create exciting entrances by incorporating
our designs into complete exterior entry systems. You will fnd an extensive
variety of over 100 designs to choose from.
However, since each entry is custom designed and crafted to individual
specications, the possibilities for unique adaptations are numerous.
We may adapt the patterns to oversized doors, utilize various arched
top congurations, add matching sidelights or transoms, add custom hand
carvings or remove panels for glass and any reasonable size may be considered.
Our doors compliment a wide variety of design themes including southwest,
mountain log or frame and timber, arts and crafts, and traditional country
styles. We also produce custom designs to drawings or photographs provided
by architects, contractors, or individual homeowners.
Our clients join us in the creative process by being involved in the
selection of each design element of your order, the door style or pattern,
the wood selection, the hand tooled surface texture, and the fnish color.
Our specialty is the beauty and individual character of doors that are
handcrafted by true artisans to complement a wide variety of architectural
styles.
