SPANISH PUEBLO DOORS may be ordered either
unfinished or pre-finished. We offer a variety of options for both Exterior
or Interior applications. Exterior applications require extra consideration,
and it is highly recommended that all exterior installations be protected
from direct exposure to the elements, especially direct exposure to
the ultraviolet rays of the sun. We offer a selection of our own custom
designed colors or may use a variety of commercially available stains
if specified by our customers.
EXTERIOR HAND-RUBBED VARNISH: This
Exterior finish includes either natural oil or a stain color coat with
three hand rubbed coats of exterior satin spar varnish sealer. It produces
a beautiful oiled satin finish that resists moisture and cracking in
the southwest climate.
EXTERIOR "PAINT GLAZED": This
finish includes color stain coat(s), satin spar varnish sealer coats
and an additional coat of exterior latex paint that is washed over the
stain and sealer. It is then hand rubbed to create a play of colors
and grains variations that are impossible to find in typical single
color stain processes. Typically combined with Wirebrushed or Weathered
textures, it completes the effect of old weathered doors in a variety
of custom designed colors.
INTERIOR LACQUERED: This
interior finish includes either natural or a stain color coat with sanding
sealer and a sprayed on satin lacquer for a low gloss sheen.
INTERIOR "PAINT GLAZED": Our
Paint glazed finishes may be also used for Interior applications. The
interior process has one less coat of varnish.
CUSTOM COLOR MATCH STAINS AND SAMPLES: Spanish
Pueblo Doors will attempt to match custom colors "as close as possible"
when samples are provided by clients. It is preferred that custom color
stain recipes be specified and that the color stain match should be
on the identical woods.
OVERSIZED DOOR FINISHES: Oversized door
finishes are priced generally proportionately to a standard 3/0 x 6/8
door. Typical price increases for oversized doors are listed below:
Increasing door height to 7/0 ............... No Charge
Increasing door height to 8/0 ............... add 10%
Increasing door width to 3/6 ............... add 10%
Increasing door width to 4/0 ............... add 15%
BI-FOLD AND DOUBLE DOORS: Bi-fold and double
door finishes are priced according to similar sized units. For example,
a 5/0x 6/8 interior bi-fold unit is priced the same as two 2/6 x 6/8
doors and one jamb. A double pair of 1/0 x 6/8 is priced the same as
one 2/0 x 6/8 door and one jamb. However, a pair of 2/0 x 6/8 doors
is priced as two slabs and one jamb.
