Pre-hung Unit Specifications: When ordering a door pre-hung, you must
provide the following information:
Door Size: Width x Height x Thickness
Interior or Exterior jamb: with
weather-strip requirements for Exterior
Non Standard uses: Pocket doors,
4 leaf or 2 leaf bi-folds units, Bi-pass Units, Dutch Doors may be
specified when applicable.
Door Jamb Wood Type: Knotty Pine, Knotty
Alder, Select Alder, etc.
Door Jamb Texture: Smooth Sanded vs. Antique
Distressed, etc. Texture will typically match the door; however it
can vary, for example in cases where a textured door may be hung in
a sanded jamb.
Jamb Size - Width and Thickness: What is the jamb width
required for the application? Typical sizes are 3-1/2” to 4-5/8” for
interior doors and 5-1/2” to 6-5/8” for Exterior doors,
etc. Typical thickness is 1-1/4 “ for standard Interior and
Exterior units, however Arch Top Doors and oversized doors require
a thicker jamb.
Door Swing or Active Swing on pairs: You must specify
either Right Hand or Left Hand swing on single doors and Right hand
active or Left Hand Active on pairs with a fixed door
Hinge finish: Since we provide the Hinges to match your hardware, what hinge finish
is specified to match the door hardware. The most common hinge finishes
are Satin Brass, Black, Antique Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Satin
Nickle.
Arch Top Jambs - Full Arch Top or Flat Arch
Top: You may specify
Arch Top Units for Interior or Exterior use. If Flat Arch Top Units
have specific springline dimensions requirements, they must be specified
when ordering.
Confirm Rough Openings: It is highly recommended that
the rough opening dimensions for all prehung units be confirmed. Although
our doors generally do fit into standard rough openings, there can
be a wide variance in how rough openings are sized at the job site.
In particular, with Arch Top Units and Custom Entry Units it is required
that the rough opening be confirmed or we will provide required RO’s
if necessary.
Jamb Finish: Is the door going to be pre-finished by Spanish
Pueblo Doors or is it unfinished? If the order is pre-finished what
is the finish color selected.
